Short story about an editor at a small publishing house in Chicago who conspires with an accountant to embezzle money from his wealthy publisher. “If you’re so smart, how come you’re not rich?” It was the city that wanted to know. Chicago.

I am "Jimmy Dimon". The story is partially set in our Lake Shore Drive co-op, with our jade collection. Eugenides was here for dinner about two years ago.
Jamie Dimon, the well-known CEO of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, used to live 3 blocks from here, but is now in NYC. He had a fine house here, but not the one in the story.
